This ROM is built against F-AOSP sources (https://github.com/F-AOSP), project made by Alberto97, it is practically an AOSP ROM with the support for all the other devices that are not nexus, and for that, it uses some code/repositories by CyanogenMod.

I added some extra features to it:

- Enabled transparencies for low mem devices

- 0,25 and 0,75x animation scale

- Added in-call vibration features

- Materialized stock SMS/MMS app

- Added quick settings pull down with 1 finger (right part of the status bar)

- Disabled full screen keyboard in landscape mode

- Added long click support on quick settings tiles

- CyanogenMod browser, the AOSP one really sucks, it force closes everywhere

- Headsup swipe options:

• left swipe dismiss
• right swipe put into background
• swipe down opens notification drawer and moves the notification into it

Let's add some requests for somewone build us a rom of Ubuntu, Dazzozo have make an almost stable for now ( i believe it will get stable ) rom of CM 10.2 and CM 11.0.

I think that now it's usable android parts to build a ubuntu touch rom sicerely i dont care about the games, i use ubuntu on my desktop and i will love to use it on my smartphone.

So now what we need is a custom swapped recovery as i undestand ubuntu touch install to data partition.

We have:

1GB /data dev/block/mmcblk0p18

1009MB /System /dev/block/mmcblk0p17

1GB /Internal sd  /dev/block/mmcblk0p19

For android parts 300MB Should be more that enought.

Hello !

I have just painfully recovered from a bad rom installation, in which my y300-0151 canada Virgin/Bell was wrongfully flashed with a y300-100 version, causing it to lose 3G network connectivity...

Now i have managed to find a working recovery, so now the phone is back to thinking it is a y300-0151 model, but is there a way to re-program the correct bands in it for 3G to start working again??

I know it would probably work with the original firmware, but i cannot find it anywhere??

or another possibility: my wife has the exact same phone, but not rooted and untouched... is there a sure shot way to copy the firmware from my wife's phone to mine??

Hi, this ROM is made using Kra1o5 sources with some changes, made to improve battery life and stability.

• MPdecision enabled by default
• The provider name is displayed in notifications even without wi-fi/data connection (Thanks H3ROS for the fix)
• zRAM is working
• VoIP apps are working, atleast on Y300 (i have personally tested Facebook Messenger calls, Whatsapp calls and latest version of Viber (31/03/2015))
• Changed RIL with joestone's RIL
• You can switch from notification to QS and viceversa with a swipe
• Possibility to choose an animation scales values between 0.0x and 2.0x
• Rewrited the Quick Settings menu and notification toggles to look like CM11
• Possibility to set "smaller tiles" in QS, to get 4 column of tiles instead of 3
• Status Bar Quick Peek
• Double tap to sleep (on status bar) feature
• Improved kill animation speed in recents app
• Possibility to delete a screenshot directly from notification panel
• Possibility to change button backlight brightness and timeout directly from settings (default brightness 7%, timeout 5s)

FAQs:

1) Why doesn't "HERE maps" download my maps giving me an error?
- There is a confused SD card detection in HERE maps, just copy the "here-maps" folder from the internal memory to the SD card (or viceversa, it depends on your default memory storage), this method can help also in other similar situations (thanks Hardware Upgrade Forum).

2) How to set SD card as default memory?
- I removed the switchable pair from Settings and added an option in the build.prop, just change "persist.sys.vold.switchexternal" from "0" to "1", keep in mind that this does the same thing as the old switchable pair in Settings, it means that sdcard0 (internal sd) and sdcard1 (external sd) will swap, so external sd will be sdcard0 and internal sd will be sd card1. Why did i do this? Because i tested that with non switchable pair the battery drain decreased in a little amount, so, to avoid people into using it, i added an option not user-friendly (the build.prop method).

3) Why is cLock missing?
- I removed it because the first time you flash the ROM, it'll eat the battery using GPS until you disable it, download Chronus from Play Store, as it follows CyanogenMod sources.

4) Why is standard Email app missing?
- It eats RAM even if you don't use it and i don't like this, Gmail or other email apps from Play Store are better for sure if you want to use an email app.

5) I have some video playback issues, what can i do?
- There is a problem somewhere, don't know why nor how to resolve it (for now), sometimes video playback doesn't work and you get a black screen, to solve this reboot your phone, other playback issues may be caused by some of our OMX's, that are prebuilts from stock 4.1.1, i don't know how to solve this problem now, but all of the custom ROMs (non-stock based) present in this forum got the same issue, peoples live with that so you can live with it too.

6) My data icons are grey and i haven't push notifications, how to solve it?

Huawei Update Extractor

After messing around a bit with the perl tools available for extracting Huawei update.app files,
i got the idea to create an own (windows) tool.

Requirements

.Net Framework 3.5

Install

Extract the content of the zip to a folder somewhere on your system.
Execute HuaweiUpdateExtractor.exe
I'm planning to create an installer sometime.

Usage

Press the browse (...) button and select an update.app file. Select a device or unknown and press on the open button.
You'll see the content of the update.app file in the listview.

Select one or more files and right click. Choose Extract selected from the context menu.
Choose the ouput folder and press ok.
Or just right click on the list and select Extract all, choose the output folder again and press ok.
Press close on the extract window.

You can sort the list on sequence, filename and size. Just press on the desired column header.

Command line:

Profile

The profiles.xml file is used to identify the files in the update.app file. Every file in the update.app has a sequence or type, which is also
shown in the list. Those sequences or types are used to identify the file/device partition.

This is an unofficial build of SlimKat 9 for the Huawei Ascend Y300, G510 & G330.

This is my first attempt at any android rom porting so use at your own risk!
 
This rom was made by porting Dazzozo's CM11 device tree to build against the SlimKat sources.
 

 
 
Now that the porting work is complete, I intend to update this ROM to coincide with the official SlimKat weekly releases.
There may also be a few test builds as I experiment with things before adding to the regular builds.

My goal was to create a ROM that most of us wish the Y300 had of been sold with originally. I achieved that goal by converting the stock Huawei ROM back to AOSP, but I also improved some things and fixed a few bugs that are found in Android 4.1.1 and all other stock based ROM's.

Extra notes:
You can download the IRS Starter Pack for ViPER4Android from here. Personally though I use TRacks DeEssed Master 2 which you can download from here.

Remember to enable compatibility mode in ViPER4Android if you use any other sound mods, although you probably don't because ViPER4Android is the best thing out there anyway.

If music is choppy for you when viewing the launcher then disable Ok Google in the Nova Launcher settings. It's not a ROM issue.

instruction

Bootlogo - picture that appears immediately after turning on or restarting the phone .You will need root- rights .
To change bootlogo:

1) Download and install Paint.NET

2) After installation, copy the file Rgb565.zip  in the folder C: \ Program Files \ Paint.NET \ FileTypes

3) Start Paint.NET, open the file that you want to see as bootlogo, edit if necessary, and save it as Rgb565 Bitmap

Attention! The file must have a resolution of 480x854 pixels (G510) and 480x800 pixels (Y300).

4) Rename the file to oemlogo.mbn

5) On your phone , using RootExplorer, navigate to the folder / data / cust and create a folder in her logo. Copy the file folder logo oemlogo.mbn
6) Download and unzip the file load_oemlogo.zip  and using RootExplorer copy it to the / system / bin. There will most likely already have such file , replace it. 
7) Then in a terminal emulator , enter the following command :
 
su

load_oemlogo

exit (2 times)
 
8)reboot

So we have the first kitkat rom Slimkat 9.0 made with Display.caf... We are definately heading in the right direction so cheers dev chil360 you are always awesome thumbs up. Now we can get more out of our android device with this improvement. Tested NFS No Limits which was impossible to start up on kitkat legacy and now it works on your Slimkat 9.0. Devs u should consider working on Display Caf with chil360 because it's the best thing for our devices ;)
